The issue of sustainability is becoming increasingly important to all of us, in particular waste prevention and respectful use of natural resources. We have therefore developed a new sustainability skin care range to meet our customers` demands for highest quality and effectiveness, while at the same time meeting the growing demand for fair and environmentally friendly products.

Nowadays, many people are very conscious about their nutrition. Many renounce or reduce the consumption of animal products for health and also environmental reasons. They also want cosmetics that contain natural active ingredients and do not contain any harmful substances. With our new, sustainable care series we fulfil these criteria. For this purpose, our experts at medipharma cosmetics have developed formulations that are highly effective on the one hand and particularly gentle on the other. For man and environment.

THE NEW SKINCARE RANGE IS SUSTAINABLE AND 100 PERCENT VEGAN

We would like to meet our customers` desire for sustainable cosmetics across the entire range, without compromising on high-quality care. All new, sustainable olive oil products are vegan and therefore free of animal ingredients. They also do not contain any microplastics, those tiny plastic particles that get into the groundwater via the drain. Therefore, we are protecting our oceans and our health.

We also do without parabens, i.e. chemical preservatives with antibacterial and fungicidal properties, which are suspected of interfering with the hormonal system. Furthermore, our new sustainability series is free of mineral oils and mineral oil products such as paraffin. What place do mineral oils produced from crude oil have in cosmetics? They fulfil various functions. They are cheaper than vegetable fats and serve as softeners, for skin protection, as solvents or for viscosity, for example in lipstick or lip care products. However also creams, body oils, hair gel, deodorants, ointments or make-up are often based on mineral oils. Therefore, these cosmetic products are considered to be harmful to health, as they often contain critical substances.

VALUABLE ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS FROM OLIVES

Medipharma cosmetics, instead, relies on valuable active ingredients from nature, such as cold-pressed organic olive oil with the extra virgin seal of quality, which is obtained from the best olives. It optimally supplies the skin with lipids and strengthens the natural skin barrier. Its greatest strength, however, is certainly its antioxidant properties. The polyphenols contained in the green fruit protect our cells from aggressive free radicals, which are produced by metabolic processes in the body, or get in contact with the outside of the skin through UV radiation or exhaust fumes. Vitamin E, which is abundant in olive oil and is one of many other vitamins in the power fruit, is also a powerful antioxidant. It makes the skin beautifully smooth and supports its oxygen supply. Pharmaceutical hyaluronic acid as high-quality anti-ageing active ingredient also ensures that our largest protective organ is supplied with sufficient moisture and is tightened.

THE GREEN TREND IN THE COSMETICS SECTOR IS BOOMING

In the beauty industry, it is no longer enough for a green range to use only natural, plant-based ingredients. The packaging must also be right, and medipharma cosmetics has taken care of this. At the moment there are a variety of approaches to make packaging more environmentally friendly. However, it is not possible to avoid it completely. Even models such as biodegradable plastic do not currently offer a real convincing alternative: This type of plastic is neither degradable in nature nor in normal compost, but only under laboratory conditions. For this reason, we at medipharma cosmetics have decided to dispense with plastic altogether. If we avoid plastic in general in the outer packaging, we do not have to worry about the recycling possibilities after the care product has been used. Furthermore, we reduce packaging. Prevention is still the best way to achieve greater sustainability.
