When we throw a small stone into the water, very large rings form on the surface. In the same manner, a small extra can have an enormous effect. If we treat ourselves to a piece of cream cake as a little treat, it makes us happy - just like a handwritten greeting card or the orange we get as a gift from the fruit seller. Unsurprisingly: Our skin feels the same way we do. Serum, concentrate or vial.

How do the power packages differ?

Let’s start with the serum. This care extra always has a particular task. For example, smoothing fine wrinkles or replenishing the moisture reserves. Depending on the objective, a serum is usually an aqueous solution containing a certain concentration of an active substance. Due to its consistency, it can penetrate into the skin faster and deeper than a cream and selectively deposit its active substances. The effect of a serum should be long-lasting and intensify with each application. It is a bit different with vials. Although they also contain a high concentration of active substances, the results should be visible immediately. Since vials are offered in small portions, it is also possible here to use sensitive ingredients that could quickly lose their effect in a flacon due to external influence.

Both the serum and the contents of a vial can be described as a concentrate. This is because it refers to a liquid in which a certain component is contained in a highly concentrated form. This makes these products slightly more expensive than conventional face care products. However, sparing use is sufficient. The skin does not have to “bathe” in the concentrate for a result to be seen. The hyaluronic acid BOOSTER is an innovative variant of the classic concentrates.

It is available with the special effects ENERGY, ANTI-REDNESS and CONTOUR. Its refreshing, quickly absorbed gel texture distinguishes it from a serum, but the effect is just as intense. In any case, however, we must prepare the skin for the special treatment in order to achieve an optimal effect. Neither dirt nor make-up must block the path of the active substances. Therefore, we apply the concentrate after cleansing. Whether in the morning or in the evening, this depends on the application description. If the product is to be used only once a day and we can choose the time, we should choose the evening. In the evening the skin’s regeneration processes take place, which are specifically supported by the power care product.

So, let’s treat ourselves a bit more often to the "icing” on our facial care. A serum provides our face with soothing extra care.
